L'atelier du Vin
A private wine studio in downtown Fredericksburg — where collectors and the seriously curious taste bottles that don't reach a tasting-room list. The workshop, in the old sense of the word.
The idea
The Hill Country has sixty tasting rooms and counting. L'atelier is the opposite of a tasting room — by appointment, curator-led, and built around bottles sourced from cellars most people never see.
“Atelier” is French for workshop — the room where a craft is practiced and protected. That's the spirit: a place where wine becomes a private encounter, composed for the people at the table.

The room
A corridor, a long table, a curated cellar
Picture a narrow, vertical space with a long farm table down the middle — a communal table for eight to ten — and lounge seating gathered around it.
Along the walls, climate-controlled units hold the collection: eclectic, rare, hundred-point wines, hand-chosen rather than broadly stocked. Nothing here is generic. Everything is here for a reason.
The space is still coming together — these images stand in until the room is ready to be seen.
A founding circle, forming
L'atelier Founder
A small founding membership is taking shape — a reserved shelf in the studio with your name engraved on it, your own stash of bottles kept at temperature, and booking priority on everything we do.
The first names are being gathered now. If that sounds like your kind of room, tell us — we'll keep you first in line.

On Main Street, in good company
L'atelier sits above the Peach Basket on Main Street, part of a broader refinement of the block — a French-inspired sensibility arriving alongside the reintroduction of La Bergerie at 334 West Main. Downtown Fredericksburg, quietly leveling up.
